Job Summary:
 
Primary contact between Technical Services and Operating Divisions, providing QA/QC, sales support, and promotional support as assigned by the Manager, Quality Control Aggregate Division.
 
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
 
  • Perform QC activities within an operating division.
  • Provide customer service, sales support, and technical assistance as needed.
  • Perform Aggregate Quality Control and Quality Assurance testing.
  • Keep records and submit reports of aggregate testing.
  • Coordinate with Manager, Quality Control Aggregate Division in maintenance of Technical Services programs to monitor aggregates quality. Prepare and forward aggregate certifications and submittals.
  • Evaluate and update aggregate statistical summaries on a regular and seasonal basis.
  • Inspect each assigned plant regularly to assure proper operation.  Submit deficiencies to Plant Manager and Manager, Quality Control Aggregate Division.  Reinspect as necessary.
  • Provide technical assistance to Operating Division personnel, as assigned by the Manager, Quality Control Aggregate Division. 
  • Investigate and provide technical assistance in solving field problems involving aggregate products.
  • Maintain testing equipment at assigned laboratory facilities in proper working order.
  • Provide technical support to CEMEX Sales staff as needed in the promotion and use of aggregate products.
  • Maintain a field log and submit written field reports.              
  • Initiate and maintain a continuing program for personal self improvement and development in the areas of personnel relations, communications and technical knowledge.
  • Comply with Company directives, policies and procedures.
  • Provide for safeguarding control and maintenance of assigned equipment in a manner that complies with CEMEX policy.             
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: 
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Some exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures. 
  • Technical knowledge aggregate and general knowledge of ready-mix concrete and asphalt concrete a plus.  
  • ACI Certification Field Technician I or obtain certification within 6 months. 
  • A valid drivers license is a must.
