Job summary
Corporate summer internship is 10-week program that combine on-the-job training with structured learning opportunities. Our interns participate in projects with our operations and/or support functions. These projects are designed to provide valuable, firsthand experience in the building materials industry and excellent opportunities for networking and professional growth.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Financial planning, forecasting and analysis, modeling and budgeting
  • Preparation of monthly financials in a timely manner
  • Working with various departments performing detailed analysis including estimating market share, as well as assessing capital expenditure 
  • Assist with tracking and managing operational performance
  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications
  • Must be in 3rd or 4th year of completing your Bachelor's Degree.  Bachelor's Degree preferred in:
  • Engineering (Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical)
  • Business (Supply Chain Management, Operations Management)
  • Industrial Distribution
Knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Highly proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to professionally interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Effective time management with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
  • Able to work up to 40 hours a week

Working conditions
  • Capability to work extended hours as necessary
  • Ability to work with standard office/computer equipment
  • Capable of working in an open office environment
  • Ability to participate in required overnight travel as necessary 

Physical requirements
  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.   
  • Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors.
